Make Room for God’s Edits

When we look at the universe or the human body, it’s hard to miss God’s strategic design behind them. He is a God of strategy. But His strategy isn’t just limited to the natural world; it extends into every facet of our lives, including our personal and professional journeys. Proverbs 16:9 offers a profound insight into this concept: “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

This principle has never been more evident than in the evolving journey of Jag Journey. Once a web development, marketing, and software company, Jag Journey has pivoted significantly. It now focuses on empowering and encouraging employed and entrepreneurial women, helping them embrace and pursue their purpose or #jagjourney. This shift wasn’t just a business decision but God’s strategic realignment.

Jesus’ direction in the life of Jag Journey illustrates a profound truth: while we can make plans and set goals, God can edit those goals at any point. We must remain flexible and not hold on too tightly to OUR plans.

At the heart of flexibility, we can chart our course and it’s important to drive towards that mission and vision but it’s equally important to leave space for changes and adjustments that God makes. He is the ultimate strategic planner.

Jesus’ purpose for our lives can change. Sometimes we misinterpret. Other times, He pivots. In practical terms, this means setting goals with an open hand, ready to adapt as circumstances evolve. It’s about trusting God that even when plans change, they’re still part of a larger, plan – His plans. By making room for His edits, we acknowledge that Jesus leads our plans and that flexibility is not just a strategy but a spiritual practice.

So, as you navigate your journey—whether in business, personal goals, or your #jagjourney—remember to allow room for God’s edits. Make your plans, set your goals, but understand that flexibility is key. Trust that even when the direction shifts, it’s part of Jesus’ greater plan.
